Colombia, under its new set of regulations, has approved its first international company to have a casino and sportsbook license. The company is online software provider, GAMING1 along with its partner, Vecca Group, according to a press release from the companies itself. Are we looking at the first steps of the country towards Bitcoin gambling?
Zamba.co will be the official website of the Colombian based online gambling website. It is also built with GAMING1’s platform that includes all the casino games and sportsbook. Along with this, GAMING1 is proud to be the first to be the sawardees of Colombian’s e-gaming license.
The website is currently accepting pre-registers from customers before the full launch. As of the moment, the website will have a sportsbook and casino games that will be available in mobile app as well. GAMING1 will supply all softwares for the games and other software providers will be added on the site later on.
Success with joint venture
“We are hugely proud to partner with Vicca Group in being awarded Colombia’s first join online casino and sportsbook license, and are sure that Zamba.co will prove a hit with players across the country.” GAMING1 CEO Sylvain Boniver included in the press release.
Vicca’s partnership with GAMING1 shows that both of them are helping each other. “GAMING1’s suite of products and services has impressed us immensely, and they are the perfect international partner to help us target the regulated online market in Colombia.” Vicca Group CEO, Rodrigo Afanador added.
GAMING1 have already established and partnered with many land-based gaming operators, in which they helped Portugal launch its first online casino with a partnership with Spanish-based Grupo Orenes last year. Also, the online software provider has formally finished its deal with Gran Casino Baden in Switzerland for a social casino project when the countries allow fiat currency online gambling.
Online gambling’s future in Colombia
Coljuegos, from the Colombian gaming regulation, have issued online regulations to Aquila Global Group and Corredor Empressarial before. Both are locally based in Colombia. Finally, the Colombian regulator has announced that there will be four more operators that will soon to be regulated. These are Cadere and Sportium from Spain and E Total Gaming from Bogota.
Will this spark the interest of Bitcoin gambling in the country? Hopefully, in the near future, this will serve as a stepping stone for Bitcoin gambling to expand its horizon in Colombia. With the cryptocurrency’s advantages, it surges the accessibility and convenience of online betting.
