Microgaming is determined to expand its regulated market territories. In a bold move, the leading fiat and Bitcoin casino software provider announced the launch of a new solution for the German market and its support for the country’s upcoming online gaming regulations.
The new casino solution from Microgaming specifically targets the regulated iGaming market in Germany. Above all features, the solution aims to help operators go live quickly and easily with products from Microgaming and other third-party partner providers.
Microgaming will open more than 150 games to its customers in the German market. The list includes popular and newly-released games like Bonanza by Big Time Gaming, 9 Masks of Fire by Gameburger Studios, and Book of Oz by Triple Edge Studios.
Just in time for the launch, Germany is set to introduce new reforms to improve social responsibility and reduce gambling-related harm within the gambling industry. Microgaming can only operate in Germany’s iGaming industry by following the new regulations announced by the government.
The country imposes strict gambling measures, such as five-second intervals between reel spins, monthly deposits caps, and maximum limits on stakes. On top of it all, operators are also required to offer games presented in the German language.
The rules and the issuance of relevant licenses come into effect in July 2021. In the meantime, Microgaming and other operators that wish to expand territories in Germany will be working under a transitional regime as they adapt to the new rules. Operators that ignore the new regulations may be excluded from the future official licensing procedure.
Leon Thomas, Commercial Director at Microgaming, confirmed the provider’s wholehearted support for Germany’s decision to take this step and further regulate gambling operators. Microgaming immediately adjusted the features of its online casino solution as per the new German guidelines. Microgaming launches the casino solution on October 15, and it already conforms with the German Toleration Regime to help clients enter the market easily and legally.
“As a socially responsible business, Microgaming broadly supports the regulatory changes in Germany, where we will be providing our customers with a solution that includes some of our most popular and successful titles – long before the new gambling laws coming into force next year,” Thomas said in a press release.
